APC clears Dimaro,Manash, Ogoniba, Alalibo, Domo, others for Bayelsà Assembly race




....aspirants says the process is transparent, peaceful, rancour free


The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsà State has cleared scores of aspirants from various constituencies to contest the State House of Assembly primaries of the party after an initial screening process of hundreds of contestants.


Among those cleared yesterday and presented with a certificate by the Party are aspirants for the Southern Ijaw consultancy 3 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Engr. Manash Ayibapreye, Dr. Felix Boyle Dimaro from Ekeremor constituency 2 , Temple Newman Dickson from Southern Ijaw constituency 2, Ebitimi Ogoniba from Brass Constituency 2, Werinipre Iniedidie of Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency 2 and former Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsà East Senatorial District, Hon. Alalibo West from Nembe constituency 3.


Most of the aspirants described the process of screening and procurement of expression of interest as peaceful, rancour free and transparent, commending the Party leadership led by the Chairman, Hon. Warman Ogoriba and the State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri for adopting the screening pattern.


Engr. Manash Ayibapreye, who picked the form to contest the Southern Ijaw consultancy 3 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly told newsmen that the ongoing process is most peaceful and promote transparency.


Engr. Manash promised give the people of Southern Ijaw consultancy 3, a credible and people oriented representation in the floor of the sacred chambers of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly by initiating bills that would advance the cause of Bayelsans generally, if given the opportunity to serve.


Dr. Felix Boyle Dimaro also commended the process as fair and cordial. He noted that the successes recorded in the process has debunked the rumour of automatic tickets to some set of aspirants.


Dimaro said the process adopted by the party has provided level playing grounds to aspirants vying for various elective positions in the State.


Mr. Werinipre Iniedidie, who is also vying for the Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency 2 seat at the State House of Assembly, expressed that the process was clearly peaceful and urged those aggrieved to remain loyal to the party and ensure victory come 2027.


Also speaking, Mr. Ebitimi Ogoniba popularly known as Senibo, who was cleared to contest the Brass Constituency 2 seat of the State Hous Assembly agreed that the process is unbias and the selection process fine.


One time Chairman of Nembe Local Government and former Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsà East Senatorial District, Hon. Alalibo West told newsmen, after being cleared that the process was transparent and successful.


Alalibo said the process has never being fair like it is being done," it has never been this fair.The leaders of the party have done well."


"We are very sure that at the end and with the quality of candidates to be put forward by the APC, the party will emerge victorious dand win all State Assembly seats come 2027."


He also urged those aggrieved to accept the party and stakeholders process,urging that tommorrow may be their turn and that they should work for the

 party to secure victory."
