Dr Ftannklin Osaisai,
a governorship aspirant in the November 16 governorship polls in Bayelsa on
Friday said that his campaigns would be violence free as he is driven by
passion for service.
The aspirant who
condemned the violent politics challenged other governorship aspirants to shun
violence and desperation as power comes from God.
Osaisa said that he
would consolidate on the laudable and ambitious projects of linking the coastal
communities to the state capital by road by completeing the road projects.
Osaisai a Nuclear Scientist
who spoke in Yenagoa to supporters during the inauguration of his campaign
office noted that haven committed the race to God, there was no need to resort
to other means to get power.
“I started the race
with God when I declared my intention before God, today we are inaugurating this
building by dedicating it to God, our campaigns shall be issued based and
violence free.
“We are focused on the
party primaries and I am optimistic we shall be victorious because ours is a
mission to serve and we have the competence to bring development and relief to
the people.
“I am a rural person
and each time I travel through the waterways from Yenagoa to Koluama where I come
from, I spend over two and half hours. The people deserve a safer and faster
means of transport,” Osaisai said.
Osaisai, a former Director-General, Nigeria
Atomic Energy Commission said that his priorities would include addressing the
power supply challenges to allow small businesses to thrive if voted into
power.
He said that he would also invest a substantial
part of the oil revenue to non oil sources to ensure that the state survives
when the oil reserves dry up.
Clergymen, associates and friends of the
aspirant witnessed the inauguration of the campaign office located along Isaac
Borroh Expressway in Yenagoa,
