Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Bayelsa State Command, Commandant

and protection of other government facilities and assets required the support of
all security agencies as well as members of the public..
Abiakam-Omanu assured Dickson that the command under her watch would
ensure that the strategy of NSCDC commandant-General on intelligence and
technology driven security operations were actualised to make Bayesa safer.
The Commandant observed that NSCDC’s strategies deployed to its
operations which included intensified patrols on land and waterways had ensured
that no vandalism was reported in the past one month.
She pledged to work harder to ensure that the prevailing sense of
security at oil fields and facilities was maintained and sustained.
Abiakam-Omanu was deployed to Bayelsa Command in June 2018 following the
retirement of Mr Godwin.
Responding, Dickson thanked the commandant for the visit and assured her
that the state government would assist the command to ensure she succeed.
Dickson, who frowned at the activities of some politicians who connive
with security agencies to perpetrate crime and cause crisis in the state
advised the Commandant to be above board.
